Le Prévot et Château Grand Place

Born from a nice love story, Château du Prévot and Château Grand Place spread a mantle of vineyards over the clay and limestone slopes of the A.O.C Bergerac and Côtes de Francs terroirs .

Profitting from a mild climate and long periods of sunshine, the soil produces high quality wines, ranging from red to rosé to white according to one’s taste or inclination, highly valued both by connoisseurs and amateurs.

The wine came from an alchemy between an astounding vineyard and men with a will who, although they had different backgrounds, were thrown together by the same love for the soil: Calixte Delmas and Claude Cucuron, engineers, Claude Moscheni and Michel Laffont in the hotel trade and François Maurin, an oenologist. They were moved by the same ideal and had the same goal: to create a nectar whose keystone would be friendship and cordiality.

At a moment in life when most men only look forward to a well deserved peaceful life, the success of their first vintage followed by many others just as successful turned this venture into a race to success based on quality, professionalism and love: the love of wine, of the soil, of their native South West but also the love of gastronomy and of their favourite sport: Rugby. It was the transformed try of single-minded enthusiasts.

Since then, their elegant bottles have been an ornament to such prestigious tables as found in Guy Savoy, Apicius, Accor and Mercure, Sodexho Prestige as well as in the lounges of Iena and the famous Polytechnique School.

Their recipe: warm-hearted friendship, a lot of work, a pinch of fantasy sprinkled with modesty and humour. Pure nectar!

“Good food and good wine, that’s Paradise on Earth.” Henry IV
